The HPP-19123 is the internal part number we use for the aftermarket stator tube loose parts kit that combines a Sonnax 28154S aftermarket Powerglide stator tube and a Sonnax 35007A turbo bushing.
Sonnax has this 28154S aftermarket Powerglide stator tube machined overseas from high-quality heat-treated chrome-moly steel. The sealing surfaces have a roller burnished finish to improve fluid seal at higher pressures. The tube features a pronounced knurl for improved press fit locking into the OEM Powerglide pump castings and both the spline and knurl areas of the tube are selective induction hardened to provide better wear resistance. The end of the stator tube comes pre-machined to accept a turbo support bushing if the application requires it.
The Sonnax 35007A stator tube bushing is a steel backed copper alloy precision bushing designed to fit a 1.121” housing bore and a 1.002” shaft diameter, the busing itself has a 1.004” ID and is 0.500” tall.
If you would prefer to purchase the kit with the Sonnax 35007A bushing already installed in the aftermarket Powerglide stator tube, choose the HPP-19123-BI option from the pull-down menu. We press fit the bushings into the stator tube using an inhouse designed bushing installation tool and inspect using a Powerglide turbo splined input shaft with turbo bushing support.
Installing one these aftermarket Powerglide stator tubes is one of the first steps in turning an OEM Powerglide pump into a race ready pump because it provides added strength to support the torque converter stator. We install one of these stator tubes in every OEM Powerglide rear pump half we remanufacture at our shop.
